How to save dry, lifeless hair falling out. Hair is dull and dry: why and what to do. Mask for dull and brittle skin

Healthy, elastic and shiny hair - no matter what length - is what all women and girls want to have, and many men are also interested in this.

However, dull hair often spoils our mood: we seem to take care of it “as it should” and use “advanced” shampoos, but for many, the hair becomes dull the very next day after washing. In summer, this problem becomes especially painful. When you have the opportunity to wear light clothes and shoes, you really want to look brighter and more attractive, but even the most beautiful dress and the best cosmetics will not help create a romantic image if your hair looks dull and faded.

Today we will talk about the main reasons why hair is dull and what to do about it.

Main causes of dull hair

What to do if your hair quickly becomes dull? The simplest thing is to use the latest shampoos, gels and balms, which are often talked about in commercials. In this way, you can restore shine to your hair - temporarily, but then more and more care products are needed, and they become more and more expensive: the problem is masked, but does not go away.

It’s probably worth trying to determine the cause of dull hair: consult a specialist, get tested for chronic diseases and blood composition. Perhaps you have a serious lack of vitamins and minerals in your body, and your hair is “sounding the alarm”, and you don’t even know it.

Another reason: hair may be dull due to problems with blood circulation or sebum secretion, poorly selected care products, the use of curling irons, hair dryers, flat irons, etc.

Poor or unhealthy diet is also a common cause of hair problems. When hair receives everything it needs from nutrition through the follicles, it usually does not lose its shine.

Focus on nutrition

To have shine, hair must be well nourished and feel good. If there is a lack of vitamins and minerals, you can use the most “cool” shampoos, and the result will only be temporary - the hair will remain as dull as it was.

So, for the health of the stratum corneum and shine, hair needs vitamin H; it is believed that there is little of it in nature, but this is not so: liver, corn, eggs, oat and barley cereals, sprouted wheat, many types of marine fish, chicken meat, almost all green vegetables (broccoli, spinach, etc.) are rich in it. some nuts and seeds. “Things are the same” with other nutrients, so if you wish, you can always find the necessary products for the beauty of your hair.

Of course, taking additional medications can also help dull hair, but in most cases the problem (or most of it) can be solved by proper nutrition. You can and should get iron from food - a lack of hemoglobin almost always causes dull hair - and B vitamins, without which the hair also “refuses” to shine - women lose a lot of vitamins during “critical” days, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

In general, we need all nutrients, but some are especially important for hair: in addition to the foods listed above, you need to eat legumes, carrots, fresh fruits (dried fruits in winter), eggs, seafood, fresh milk, unrefined vegetable oils, yoghurts and cheese.

Hair beauty secrets

Overwork, lack of sleep and frequent stress quickly deprive hair of health and shine: you need to sleep 7-8 hours a day, and give up nervous overload - why do you need them?

What else to do if your hair is dull? If we talk about the complex effect, then a good scalp massage, which improves blood circulation and nutrition of the hair follicles, is also important for the smoothness and shine of hair. The massage can be done every time before washing your hair, for 7-10 minutes, applying castor or olive oil to your fingertips. Thoroughly combing your hair in different directions is the easiest way to improve its health, but we usually reach for a comb when we need to fix something. Choose a wooden comb or a natural hair brush and comb your hair 100 times in the morning and 100 times before bed: do at least this and you will soon notice an improvement.

Hair suffers greatly from unfavorable environmental conditions, and especially in cities: the air can be so dusty and polluted that it is clearly visible to the naked eye. And young people today love to go without a headdress, and not only from spring to late autumn, but also in winter, when the smog hanging over the city in a dense haze, combined with frost, deals truly devastating blows to unprotected hair.

A common cause of dull hair is chemical exposure to dyes and heat treatment of hair. Thus, dyeing, bleaching, and various types of curls disrupt the biochemical structure of the hair, and hot rollers, hair dryers and straightening irons take away moisture from it, which is already sorely lacking. We strive to save time, and then “reap the benefits,” and our great-grandmothers, having long braids, dried their hair with linen towels. Chinese women still use silk napkins for these purposes - natural ones, of course - and very rarely encounter the problem of hair tarnishing.

Care for dull hair

How should you properly care for your hair to prevent it from becoming dull? Shiny hair means clean. And we try to choose expensive shampoos, considering them more effective, and we also change them more often, trying to find the best: after all, the store shelves amaze with their abundance, and advertising encourages us to try more and more new miraculous remedies. In fact, there is no need to change shampoos and conditioners often: this often leads to allergies, hair type “gets confused” and dandruff appears. It's worth changing your shampoo if it's really necessary: for example, if you've dyed your hair, and before that you washed your hair with a regular shampoo of your type, you'll need a product for colored hair. In most cases, you can use shampoo for 3-6 months in a row and longer if you like the result.

The pH level should be chosen according to your type: dry hair needs a pH of up to 5.0, oily hair needs a pH from 5.5 to 6.0, and if dry dandruff appears, you can try using baby shampoo.

And not everyone needs to wash their hair every day, as they show in American movies: normal hair needs one wash every 3-4 days, dry hair – every 5-6 days; If necessary, oily hair can actually be washed every day. However, if you try here, you can easily get by with one wash every two days: for example, make kefir masks before washing and reconsider your diet.

Hair balms and rinses must be used if you want to better protect your hair from environmental influences. And rinse your hair not with tap water, but with boiled water: it doesn’t require much effort, and your hair will make you happy.

Revitalizing masks

An excellent home remedy for dull hair are proven folk masks. We offer several effective recipes. So.

Raw egg yolk is a proven remedy that nourishes hair, softens it and adds shine. One yolk (2-3 for long hair) is mixed with apple cider vinegar 1:1, add 1-2 tbsp. lemon juice, apply to hair along the entire length, leave for 15 minutes; then rinse your hair well with warm (not hot!) water, without shampoo.

A good mask is with yolk, honey, castor oil, fresh aloe pulp (1 tbsp each) and cognac (1 tsp). Do it once a week for a month, for 2 hours; insulate your head under the film: the result promises to be amazing.

The following mask will add softness and shine to dull hair: mix the pulp from one banana in a blender with natural yogurt and olive oil (1 tbsp each). Keep for 20-30 minutes. Masks with oil are washed off with shampoo according to your hair type.

Many women experience lifeless hair, and this is not always due to the natural characteristics of the body. In most cases, the problems of fragility and dullness are a consequence of poor nutrition or excessive love of sunbathing. To restore the faded shine of healthy hair, you should add several beauty recipes to your collection for regular care.

What are the reasons?

Among the reasons that are included in the general list of harmful factors are heredity and the presence of various diseases that affect metabolism. However, this is only a small part of the aspects that worsen the condition of your hair. Of greater importance in this matter is the lifestyle you adhere to - dietary preferences, work and rest patterns.

First of all, you should focus on nutrition. This is not only about the optimal diet, but also about the specific foods that you regularly include in your diet. The slightest metabolic disorder leads, if not to a sharp decrease in the quality of the hair follicle and shaft, then to changes in their structure - certainly! The human body is programmed by nature to use specific vitamins and substances at specific times, so when you disrupt the optimal eating schedule, you contribute to metabolic disorders and improper absorption of important nutrients. If, in this case, the products are predominantly classified as not beneficial to health and figure, then this affects the appearance of the hair, its ability to withstand negative environmental factors, the percentage of hair loss increases due to increased weakness of the root follicle, and so on.

A poor diet, its monotony and a preponderance towards fast food, saturated with sugar, salt and transgenic fats, especially makes hair lifeless. At the first stage, they only disrupt metabolism, but, in the absence of attention to the problem, they become the causes of diseases that almost directly worsen the appearance of the hair. If at the same time you smoke and do not monitor the portion sizes of alcoholic cocktails, it will be even more difficult to deal with the problem that has arisen.

Dryness, brittleness, and dullness occur when you overexpose yourself to the scorching sun without a hat. Infrared and ultraviolet rays in excess contribute to rapid loss of moisture, as a result of which keratin scales begin to peel off and the effect of split ends occurs.

In addition, lifeless hair is made completely natural for an attractive woman. These are various types of styling using persistent cosmetics, hot curling irons and irons, and the use of perm. Without proper care and means to prevent damage to the hair structure, it is quite logical to encounter problems such as an unkempt appearance, loss of color, dehydration, and hair loss.

What to do with lifeless hair?

Lifeless hair often becomes the reason that it cannot be combed and styled well. In addition, they always seem unkempt, and your entire look loses its luster because your head looks uncombed. To be fair, it is worth noting that many girls masterfully turn this disadvantage into an advantage and do their hair in a slightly careless style, however, the problem does not disappear. To deal with lifeless hair and give it a chance to recover, you should follow several rules of care.

1. Choose the “right” shampoo! Of course, this is a relative concept, however, it is often modern shampoos that cause hair to lose its natural vitality. First, try simply changing the product to another. Please note that this is not just another name, but another concern or company that produces shampoos. Pay more attention to ecological shampoos based on herbal decoction, birch tar, mumiyo, honey and soap root.

2. Don't wash your hair every day! This process washes away the natural oil layer from the skin and hair, which provokes even more sebum production and the formation of dandruff. This, in turn, makes the hair greasy and disrupts its structure and the location of keratin scales.

3. Use natural rinses that can also be used as a freshener every day, especially on days when you do not use shampoo. Decoctions of nettle, chamomile, sage, juniper or rose hips are excellent as such rinses.

4. Avoid painting and heat styling for a while. If there are no critical changes, then coloring with gentle compositions can be left, but at the same time include in the care system the use of active restorative masks for colored hair, preferably in a beauty salon, or with home remedies.

5. If lifeless hair is very difficult to comb, use special formulations of hair care oils or herbal decoctions with the addition of rose, ylang-ylang, and tea tree esters. Spray them on your hair just before combing.

6. Be sure to gather long hair that has lost its vitality into a braid before going to bed so that it is not subjected to additional physical stress due to friction against the pillow and breaks even more.

7. To help lifeless hair, don’t shy away from taking vitamins to strengthen it and restore its natural shine.

The best recipes for hair restoration

1. Oil mask for deep nutrition, restoration of the ability to maintain moisture, and the appearance of natural shine and color. As a base, use one of the suggested oils: avocado, grape seed, jojoba, castor, burdock or olive. Add 2-3 more oils to the base, a third of the total amount. Depending on the length of your hair, you will need to add one egg yolk for each tablespoon of the mixture. Apply the composition to the entire length of the hair, departing 10 cm from the roots, then collect it and insulate it with a towel. Keep the mask on for an hour. Regularity of use – 1-2 times a week for treatment. The composition and proportions of oils can be changed regularly.

2. Mask based on kefir and egg yolk It perfectly helps to cope with dryness and brittleness of hair, tidying up the position of keratin scales and preventing the worsening of split ends. To prepare, just take the required amount of kefir, so that it is enough for the entire length of the hair, and add one egg yolk for every 100 ml. You need to keep the mask on without additional covering of your head for 40 minutes, then rinse with warm water using a light herbal shampoo, or a decoction of nettle, chamomile and linden blossom in equal parts. Hair should be thoroughly blotted with a towel and allowed to dry naturally.

3. Antioxidant mask for hair with increased fragility, dull and damaged by frequent sunbathing. Mix pumpkin and carrot juice in equal parts. For 100 ml of mixture, add two tablespoons of nutritious oil and one yolk. Mix all ingredients until smooth and apply to hair for an hour. Rinse off with lukewarm water.

It's no secret that the hair on the head is quite vulnerable to a variety of external factors. Changes in the internal environment of the human body also have a certain effect on the condition of our hair. As a result of the negative impact, hair loses its natural shine, silky texture, and becomes dry and lifeless. If you encounter this kind of problem, take action immediately. And first of all, use the services of home cosmetics. Today we will talk about how you can restore lifeless hair at home, and we will give you the best folk recipes for masks and shampoos.

Why is hair strong?

What affects the strength of hair, and how to make it healthy and strong?

The internal structure of the hair, almost 9/10, is keratin, the so-called fibrillar protein with an elongated, thread-like structure and very high mechanical strength: in the world of nature, only chitin, which makes up the hard shells of various animals, is stronger than it. The remaining 10% is water, lipids - fats and fat-like substances, and melanin pigments, “responsible” for color. On the outside, each hair is protected by a cuticle - a shell of horny scales, arranged like a tile, and very tightly adjacent to each other, so that healthy hair can easily bend.

Keratin is formed in the hair follicle; At first it is soft and gentle, but as the hair grows it becomes stronger. If there is enough keratin, the hair remains strong, does not dry out, does not break, and falls out normally - 50-150 pieces per day.

Grind the vegetable raw materials, pour in warm liquid, add oil. Mix everything well and place the container with the nutrient composition in a cool, dark place for two weeks. After the specified period, filter the mixture. Apply the mask to your curls, namely the roots of your hair, three times a week. Leave the product on your hair for 30 minutes, then rinse.

In order to restore lifeless hair, you need to resort to the services of this cosmetic mask twice a week.

The best homemade shampoos

To ensure that the result of using homemade hair masks is even better than you expect, you should fix it by using not a branded shampoo, but a shampoo made from natural ingredients, to restore lifeless hair. This cosmetic product is not only effective against lifeless hair, but also has a lot of advantages. These include versatility, environmental friendliness, budget, and ease of preparation.

Egg gelatin shampoo for lifeless hair is easy to make at home. Ingredients: 2 raw egg yolks, 1 tbsp. gelatin swollen in water. Mix the ingredients until smooth. Coconut shampoo. It is prepared from the following ingredients: liquid soap (1 tbsp), water (120 ml) and coconut milk (1/4 cup). In the same way as in the previous recipe, combine the listed ingredients in a plastic container and use the mixture for its intended purpose.

How to restore lifeless hair

Returning your curls to their natural strength and beauty is quite possible, but for this purpose the use of cosmetic masks and shampoos will not be enough. In addition, it is necessary to follow the rules for caring for lifeless hair.

After washing your hair, be sure to use a balm for damaged, weakened hair or a moisturizing conditioner every time. Be sure to rinse already clean hair with herbal decoctions. Chamomile flowers, calendula, burdock root, and nettle leaves are suitable for this purpose.

Do not use hot water for water procedures on relatively lifeless hair. Otherwise, the sebum secretion mechanism, which forms a protective film on the surface of the curls, will be disrupted. It is better to wash your hair with warm or cool water.

You should comb your hair with a brush with natural bristles. Moreover, these manipulations can only be performed with dry hair, or at least with slightly damp hair (after washing). Wet curls cannot be styled, much less braided.

If you are the owner of lifeless hair, avoid using dyes with aggressive ingredients, such as ammonia, for example. Choose gentle coloring agents or use natural beauty products (basma, henna, etc.).

Forget about styling your hair using a hair dryer in the “hot air” mode, curling iron, or flat iron. All this greatly spoils the quality of the curls, disrupts their structure, and therefore will further aggravate the existing problem.

What to do if your hair has lost its shine, has become dull, weak, brittle and lifeless: masks for dull hair and expert advice.

There may be several reasons why hair loses its brightness and color saturation, beautiful shine and becomes dull. One of the most popular is a deficiency of certain vitamins and microelements, the lack of which leads to a weakening of color.

Also, hair often becomes dull if the smoothness of the outer shell of the hair is disrupted. The scales of the cuticle - the outer layer of hair - rise, making the hair defenseless against the negative effects of dry and hot air, dye, aggressive shampoos and styling products. Such hair becomes brittle, quickly tangles, and loses elasticity.

Poor blood circulation in the scalp can also cause loss of shine and brightness of hair.

Therapeutic nutrition against hair dullness

To nourish your hair and restore its vibrancy and shine, you may need to supplement your diet with essential foods.

Perhaps the condition of your hair has worsened due to the fact that your body is experiencing a lack of... zinc. To restore hair, try to eat meat, poultry, beef liver, seafood, legumes, sunflower seeds, milk, eggs, oatmeal, whole grain bread, bran. The champions in zinc content are oysters. A large amount of this microelement is found in pumpkin seeds.

For healthy shine and rich hair color, you also need an amino acid such as tyrosine. It is she who participates in the processes responsible for the production of pigment, which gives color to our hair. To replenish the body’s need for this substance, trichologists recommend more often including nuts (especially almonds), seeds (pumpkin and sesame), and dairy products in the diet. Sources of tyrosine such as avocados and bananas are very useful for restoring damaged and dry hair.

Often hair loses its shine and strength due to iron deficiency anemia, which requires mandatory treatment. Restore hemoglobin level liver, meat, eggs, legumes, cereals, beets, pomegranates, red wine will help.

If your diet is generally balanced, plus you regularly take multivitamin and mineral complexes, and your hair still looks very bad, you should consult a specialist - a trichologist or dermatologist. It is advisable to do a spectral analysis of your hair, which will help you determine exactly which microelements your hair is suffering from. Based on the test results, the doctor will be able to prescribe professional hair treatment.

How to quickly add shine to your hair

To get your hair in order in a short time, you will need salon treatments. A popular and effective way to give your hair shine, silkiness, smoothness is to make biolamination. During lamination, the hair is coated with a special compound that envelops each hair with a protective, breathable film. It “repairs” the cuticle, restores its integrity, protects hair from harmful influences and instantly improves its appearance. Hair lamination can be done at home, but if you decide to undergo this procedure for the first time, it is better to trust a professional master for the first time.

An excellent procedure that helps solve many hair problems, restore its brightness and shine and cure hair loss - mesotherapy. The specialist individually selects a special treatment composition that will solve the problems of your hair. Traditionally, medicinal cocktails are injected under the scalp using injections with special, very thin needles. However, recently many clinics have been offering mesotherapy, which is carried out without injections or needles using a special device.

Regular scalp massage will help improve hair health and improve root nutrition. You can read how to do this massage yourself correctly in the article “

It's no secret that under the influence of the sun and hard water, due to frequent dyeing and other manipulations, sometimes due to poor environmental conditions and genetic reasons, curls begin to deteriorate, dry out and often become brittle.

However, it is not always possible to immediately run to a beauty salon for the necessary restoration, so today we decided to raise the topic of dry hair: what to do with it at home and how to eliminate the problem as much as possible?

Reasons for appearance

Strands become lifeless when sebum production decreases. The scalp loses moisture, and with it the same happens to the hair. This happens due to external or internal factors.

External

1. Improper care

Every girl should use oils, special serums or masks. There’s no need to talk about shampoo that’s right for your type and conditioner.

2. You do your hair often

Hairdryer after, straightener, curling iron or hot rollers - constant exposure to high temperatures is bad for the condition of the hair. If you don’t also use heat protection, then it’s not surprising that your strands resemble straw.

3. Frequent visits to the hairdresser

No, we are not talking about haircuts and experiments with bangs. Today a blonde, a month later Malvina, and six months later a scorching brunette? If you recognize yourself in this description, then the question “How to restore bleached dry damaged hair?” (you can insert any type of coloring) you definitely ask all stylists.

4. Environment

Minus temperature, hot sunny day, swimming in the sea, city smog or strong wind - these factors can ruin not only your mood, but also your hairstyle.

Internal reasons

1. Poor nutrition

Dryness can be a signal that your body lacks vitamins and microelements. Review your diet to check whether you are eating enough fresh vegetables and fruits (and whether you are addicted to junk food).

2. Stress

Constant worries, poor sleep, disorders and depression negatively affect the body: not only emotional and physical health deteriorates, but also the condition of the skin, hair and nails.

3. Bad habits

Alcohol, smoking and even excess caffeine “steal” your beauty. Try to give up destructive habits (or at least minimize them).

4. Genetics

Yes, this problem can be inherited from birth, but even in this case there is a chance to improve the condition. Often, hair becomes dry due to the influence of several factors at once. Therefore, you need to work to eliminate both internal and external causes.

1 Providing “first aid”

Once you notice the problem, follow our plan:

  1. Give up as much as possible, or at least dry your head only with the help of a cold air stream.
  2. Keep hair washing to a minimum. Yes, a dirty head is very bad, but try to reduce the frequency by at least 1.5–2 times: for example, instead of washing them every day, try to wash them once every couple of days, and so on.
  3. By the way, about washing your hair. Switch to sulfate-free shampoo. It has been proven that sulfates have a negative effect on our hair, destroying its internal structure. At the same time, it is not at all necessary to buy a very expensive shampoo. Even in a regular store you will find several products that do not contain a single component labeled sulfate.
  4. Reduce the number of manipulations with ironing and curling irons to a minimum and, if necessary, always use thermal protection.
  5. Don't forget to use masks and conditioners after every hair wash. If you notice that your length has become dry, feel free to apply the masks and keep them on a little longer than the time indicated on the package: instead of 3 minutes - 5, instead of 10 - 15, and so on.
  6. Don't wrap your head in a towel after: dry strands are already prone to brittleness, and a towel can damage them even more.

When you have already adopted all the initial recommendations, proceed to the next steps.

2 Treatment at home: masks and wraps

Masks are one of the most effective, but at the same time completely safe means. Choose homemade ones made from natural ingredients and use them at least 2-3 times a week.

Coconut vitamin wrap

Depending on the length, take 2 parts of natural cold-pressed, 1 part of pharmaceutical vitamin A in liquid form, the same amount of vitamin E and another part of burdock oil. Heat the mixed ingredients in a double boiler to a comfortable, not too hot temperature.

Apply the composition to the lengths and roots, if they are also dry enough. Wrap your head in cling film or put on a special cellophane cap and wrap it with a warm towel.

You need to walk in this form for 40 minutes to 2 hours - as time allows. Periodically, you can massage your head a little so that the mixture is better absorbed. After the procedure, you should wash your hair 1-2 times with shampoo and apply conditioner.

If the ends are very brittle, you can additionally rub a small amount of coconut oil in your palms and apply to them.

Sometimes you can make changes to the composition of the mask: instead of burdock, you can add cocoa, almond, grape seed, wheat germ, and avocado oils. The basic formula remains the same.

Avocado mask

Avocado oil is great for caring for dry, lifeless strands. In this case, it is not necessary to buy the pomace itself - just choose a very ripe and soft fruit in the store that has a pleasant smell.

Take half (or a whole - depending on the length of your hair) of an avocado, cut off the peel and use a blender to puree it - the homogeneous mass will be much easier to wash off. Then add 1 teaspoon of wheat germ cosmetic oil, 2 tablespoons of aloe juice and a couple of drops of citrus essential oil for a pleasant scent.

Apply the composition to the entire length, avoiding the roots, and put on a cellophane cap. Wrap your head in a towel and wait an hour and a half. Wash off the mask with warm water and use shampoo and conditioner.

Olive oil wrap

Depending on the length, you need to mix 2 parts, 1 part almond oil and 1 part burdock oil. The mixture must be heated in a water bath for several minutes to a comfortable temperature.

The composition should be applied to the entire length, avoiding the roots. This is easy to do with a piece of cotton wool or a cotton pad.

After this, the hair must be wrapped in cling film or put on a special cap. Keep this mask for about two hours, and if you are very dry, leave it overnight. Then wash your hair with shampoo.

Aloe vera gel

Natural aloe juice is very rich in vitamins and nutrients and perfectly moisturizes strands, making them soft and shiny. In addition, such a remedy can be made even at home if you have a large enough indoor aloe tree. It is necessary to cut off a couple of lower leaves and squeeze the pulp and juice out of the aloe.

Apply the product to the entire surface of your hair for at least an hour. It is best to use it with other nutritional ingredients: for example, in combination with raw yolk or any of the cosmetic vegetable oils. Application and the procedure itself, as well as rinsing off the composition, are carried out in exactly the same way as in the above recipes.

3 Emollients

Decoctions for rinsing

Herbal decoctions heal and have a beneficial effect on the structure as a whole, making curls soft and more shiny. The most suitable herbs for this are:

  • Linden;
  • chamomile (for blondes);
  • black tea (for brunettes);
  • horsetail;
  • hop;
  • Melissa;
  • thyme;
  • Oak bark;
  • nettle.

Most of these herbs can be purchased at the pharmacy. When brewing 0.5 liters of boiling water, take 2-3 tablespoons of the desired herb. The broth is infused for several hours and filtered. Use it at the end of every wash.

Aloe Vera Spray

What to do if your hair is dry and lifeless? Aloe juice in the amount of 2 tablespoons is mixed with 200 ml of mineral water and 1-2 drops of rose water (optional). Using a spray bottle, spray the composition along the length after washing. No need to rinse off.

An approximate daily diet might look like this:

  • On an empty stomach before breakfast: a spoonful of flaxseed oil or flaxseeds;
  • Breakfast: oatmeal with water, whole grain toast with avocado and egg;
  • Snack: nut bar with cereals;
  • Lunch: steamed veal with green beans;
  • Snack: 150–200 grams of cottage cheese and fruit;
  • Dinner: steamed salmon and spinach.

To maintain a healthy metabolism, be sure to drink about two liters of water daily. Try also taking a course of complex vitamins and Omega-3 acids necessary for women's health.

5 Scissors

Yes, this is the most radical method of solving the problem. However, if your hair is still very dry, like straw, and the above procedures no longer help, you should think about cutting it.

Here are a couple of warning signs that you shouldn’t ignore:

  • The ends became fluffy and too voluminous. This means that the hair has lost the most important elements of its structure and has become more porous, empty inside. Unfortunately, no home remedies can completely restore it.
  • The lifeless ends began to split. If you don’t take them off now, you’ll have to cut your hair more radically later.

Get rid of the split ends, and only then put all your efforts into restoring the remaining length.
